Biography:

    David “Ross” Rauschkolb is a theatre professional working in the Orlando, Florida area.

He recently was the Resident Technical Director, Production Manager, and an Assistant Professor of Technical Theatre at the University of New Mexico. He coordinated facility rentals for UNM’s Experimental Theatre and Rodey Theatre.  He supervised the department’s Computer Lab, which houses mostly iMacs, large format printers, and a Makerbot 3D printer and Laser Duplicator.  Ross’ research centers around the use of technology for teaching, new material usage, uses of 3D technology, and interdisciplinary production design.   He holds a MFA in Technical Direction from the University of Arizona and a BFA in Theatre Education from East Carolina University. 

    Ross was the New Mexico Vice-Chair for KC/ACTF Region VI and is a respondent for associate regional productions.  Ross is a member of Stage Manager’s Association, United States Institute of Theatre Technology, Association of Arts Administration Educators, and the American Association of University Professors.  He is a member of Actor’s Equity Association.  As an active member of USITT, he has chaired several panels and annually presents at the USITT National conference. For multiple years, he coordinated the education commission’s “Watch Them Work” Exhibit.  He has adjudicated USITT Tech Olympics and Portfolio Reviews for Stage Management. 

    Ross is a certified CM Hoist Technician. He was a CPR/First Aid/Professional Rescuer instructor for the American Red Cross and the Boy Scouts of America.  Ross is a former North Carolina Teaching Fellow and High School Theatre Teacher. He has worked professionally around the US, for companies such as Valencia Theatre, Garden Theatre, Stage Light, Teatro Paraguas, DNA_Works, the Post Playhouse, Oklahoma CityRep, ECU Loessin Summer Theatre, Yjastros Flamenco Dance Company, the William Inge Center, Play Conservatory, RE Lee Auditorium, Oklahoma City University, Carolina Ballet, Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, Sonora Theatreworks, and Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park.
